The Beginning of my Life
At first there was a flash of pain and heat. The first feeling I felt was the life coursing through my new veins. Slowly my eyes began to focus, and I beheld the room in which I was in, the world was still blurry and dark, but I could just distinguish the figure of a being standing over me, I moved my jaw slightly and made a soft growling sound. I was curious, and I reached out to touch the figure, but before I could touch it, it fled out of the room, and into what I thought was the void beyond. After lying in the bed I had been created in for a time, I learned that closing my eyes will make sight very dark. I also learned that had appeared to be a dark and empty void, was actually a space filled with many different objects, I walked downwards on what I now know as a staircase, and walked out into the open. At first, the light was a blistering pain to my eyes, and I could only function at night. Gradually, however, my eyes began to adjust to the brightness, and soon I began to distinguish different senses from each other. On accident, I stumbled upon a fire and a heavy cloak. The cloak gave me warmth, and the fire gave me inspiration. I was enchanted by the light, the warmth, and the wonder of flame. I spent many happy hours sitting by the fire. When I stuck my hands in the fire, I was shocked to learn that though flame gives light and heat, it also causes pain, I wondered how this was possible. Finally, I was forced to abandon the flame, which I had stumbled upon, in order to find some food. My wanderings brought me to the beautiful, green countryside.
